Frequently asked questions

Is SSO really included on the free Hobby tier?

Yes. SAML and OIDC SSO (Google Workspace, Azure AD, Okta, custom OIDC) ship on every plan — including Hobby. We don't charge a seat-tax for logging in securely. Audit logs and retention policies are on Team.

How do I migrate from another documentation platform?

The scaffolder imports MDX plus frontmatter and maps common component shorthands to their Publier equivalents. For the long-tail edge cases, the Team plan includes guided migration. See the migration guidefor the details.

What does 'low carbon footprint' actually mean?

Publier ships Astro-static HTML with ~5 KB Qwik islands — a fraction of the JS that React-based doc stacks ship. Fewer CPU cycles, fewer requests, fewer server hours. The stack is measurably lighter than the alternatives, but we don't publish a per-page gCO₂ number; the numbers we see in the wild depend heavily on host and CDN choices.

Can I self-host?

Yes. Publier builds pure static HTML — you own the output and can host it on any CDN or static host. A licensing token unlocks production builds; local development runs without one.

What happens if my build token expires or I'm offline?

Local development never requires a token. Production builds hard-fail rather than silently downgrade. Rotate tokens from the dashboard; offline builds reuse the last successful build output.

Do you use my content to train an LLM?

No. Publier has no telemetry and no phone-home in v1. The MCP server and llms.txt are static artefacts generated on your build host and served from your CDN — we never see them. We are not a data processor.
